pages 1- 50

I am reading Fahrenheit 451. The book is some what interesting. Basically it is about burning books in the future, I don’t know why yet, but that is what they do. It was written sometime ago (I believe in the 50's not to sure) so the technology is different. The author, Ray Bradbury, writes about a robotic dog with legs like a spider. It’s kind of funny because we already have robotic dogs. They may not have 8 legs, but we are still able to make them. Technology has caught up with this book so it’s not too futuristic, yet.
I also like the way the author gives descriptions. He relates objects to something totally different. Once he described something like music, like the notes of a guitar.
People in this book are different too. I don’t really understand it. They don’t seem to be very social. If they don’t have books to read, why not be social? It doesn’t make since to me. All they really do is sit around and watch TV. I would think that gets a little old after awhile. The young girl and her family sit around and talk to each other and the main character finds this weird. I can’t wrap my head around it, why would this be so weird, and why don’t people interact with each other? Isn't it human nature to be just a little social?
